A powerful sorcerer Mephisto is using magical wind-up keys to control humans and turn animals into powerful killing machines. You play Flint, a young hero and Pirate Hunter who is wanted for treason, and is after the pirates that caused his parents' death.
Enjoy lush 3D landscapes, epic confrontations with some random generic RPG monsters, and a story that probably doesn't even go anywhere. The famed game that actually put The Polly to sleep after she'd played it only a little under an hour can now be yours!
Alundra, one of the hardest games I have ever played. With it's addicting gameplay, involved storyline, wonderful music, and beautiful graphics. Alundra was a masterpiece. Now a couple years later, Alundra 2 has arrived and boy, it sure is different.
Ok, so of course this game was turned into a 3D Action rpg since 2D is ''out.'' 3D is not a bad thing but from 2D to 3D, sometimes games can go wrong in the graphics department and thats where this game falls in. This game looks like an old Nintendo rpg at times. There are not the best, and of course they are not as pretty as the original but at least it is not as bad as FF7s graphics.
I love the music! It feels like your playing Alundra 1 all over again at times. It fits the dungeons and towns perfectly. The sound affects are fine too. The voice overs I thought were kind of bad but at times I enjoyed it.
The storyline is no where near as good as the original. This game is really cheery and funny at times and the first one has that depressing, comit suicide feeling since peopl die like every other hour. Now the text is not as bad as the original, hey all you crazy alundra fans, I bet you remember text lines like these, ''The key slipped in like buttah.'' ''Put Wilda on Ice.'' ''You go, boy!''
and ''Alundra is too sexy for this casion.'' Come on!!! The original Alundra had problems with its text at times. Anyway, You play as Flint (who is not a dream walker) the storyline isnt as involved and is kind of a joke at times, but other wise it isn't that bad.
The controls are not bad but not the best. They are kind of loss and you can change the camera view and you can spin it around to see everything around you, It does get annoying in narrow areas but other wise its fine. Flint just slashes with his sword and can learn combo add ons by finding puzzle pieces (like gilded falcons only not as impossible to find.)He can slide and he learns a fiew attacks and his magic is by rings not by scrolls and they level up by like Fire ring LV1,2,3 not by books like the original. You can also summon with the rings. You hp is not crests anymore, its numbers, and you Hp goes to 999 and Ep (or you could call it Mp) goes to 999 also.
Alundra 2 is fairly long but its pretty straight forward becuase it has a dot to dot world map. This game I found really cheap and hard at times.
Enemies like do 60 Hp to you and you have like 100 and the some enemies take like 3-6 slashe. This game has lots of mini games, most are opitinal but i warn YOU, THE MINI GAMES ARE AS HARD AS THE R0ULET FROM THE RIVERSIDE BAR IN THE FIRST ONE!!! SO BEWARE!!! anyway, The bosses can be cheap also, but if your like me, I enjoy cheap hard games, hahaha...
Soooooo, if you like Action Journey Rpgs that rule like Alundra, Zelda, LandStalker and so on, I advise you to buy this game now. I play really an journey rpg, cause I can take on anything. If you liked Alundra and your not
picky like some people I know... Give this game a chance and rent it if you don't like the way it sounds but go
ahead and buy it, its only 10 bucks new,SERIOUSLY!
